Saturday night we enjoyed Bistro Moulin’s Take Out Menu. On the morning of each weekend service; they send their followers an email with delicious choices that include first course, second course, dessert, and wine pairings. Last night my husband and I chose: First course their classic French soup (which my husband says is his favorite even over our love for Parisian restaurants…he says Bistro Moulin’s is the best! Then I enjoyed a delicious Veloute of Mushroom, with a touch of cream Soup. Delicious! Our main courses were: Cannelloni Tartuffi – Baked pasta with beef tenderloin, ricotta, and truffle, with pink vodka sauce. Again this is one of my husband’s favorites…it’s light but decadent at the same time. The pink vodka sauce really accents the ricotta and truffle. I had the Gnocchi aux Epinards – a spinach gnocchi au gratin, with parmesan cream sauce and beautiful seeded bread to dip in the cheese sauce. The gnocchi were light pillows of deliciousness…so creamy and flavorful. The melted cheese I could eat all day with the bread! Colleen, the sommelier did a great job of choosing wines for these entrees with a 2017 Chianti from Tuscany. I really appreciated that they didn’t gouge you on wine prices either. It was a great value and delicious. Overall an exceptional dinner; especially that it was take-out. We will definitely continue to enjoy Bistro Moulin’s take out during the Covid-19 crisis.
We have enjoying Bistro Moulin’s dining for several years. We have never been disappointed. Every dish we’ve eaten has been carefully prepared and delicious. The sauces can tend to be rich, but we appreciate the portions aren’t overlarge. The rack of lamb special recently was to die for: perfectly cooked, meaty lamb with a sauce so tasty you wanted to drink it. The service is extremely professional and friendly. Seating outside is very limited, so definitely make a reservation. It’s worth it!
