Chef Federico pairs classic French cooking with the best of the Monterey Peninsula: French onion soup, escargot, duck confit, mussels and fresh seafood from the bay. There’s no rush here, just good food, good wine and an evening at your own pace.

At Bistro Moulin, a good bottle shared over dinner is part of the evening. Our list starts in France and travels from there, to Italy, Napa and Sonoma, and the Monterey County vineyards close to home.
Chef Federico, a Certified Sommelier, chooses every wine himself. Start with an apéritif or settle in with a special bottle, and he’ll gladly suggest the right glass for your dinner.

Bistro Moulin is a true French neighborhood bistro. The cooking is classic and unhurried: rich reductions, clarified stocks, handmade pastry and slow braises that fill the dining room with comforting aromas.
Monterey makes French cooking even better. Fresh fish comes from the bay, and the farms in the valleys just inland supply herbs, mushrooms and seasonal produce.
